Dear Parents and Students:
This is such an exciting time of year for educators, parents, and students! As we move closer to the first day of school, our excitement builds and in anticipation for the first day back, we are working to prepare the school for all of you.
I am so proud to be the principal of James Kennedy Elementary. We are blessed to have dedicated, passionate professionals who work together with the parent community to provide enriching learning experiences for your children. We look forward to seeing you soon!

Information for Tuesday, September 4th
SCHOOL STARTS at 8:46 am. Pick up is at 10:30 AM.
New Kindergarten students do not attend on Tuesday.
Please refer to your welcome package for the date/time of your interview.
New studentsplease report to the Libraryfor attendance. You will be shown to your class from there. Parents can pick up at the end of the day from the Library as well.
Returning studentsplease go to last year’s teacher, using the outside doors. Please see the maps posted for locations.
Mr. Vaillancourt’s students please report to your last year’s portable.
Mme. Hoonjan’s students please report to your last year’s portable.
Mr. Sangra’s students please report to your last year’s classroom.
Ms. Palmer’s students please report to your last year’s classroom.
Mme. Harvey’s students please report to your last year’s classroom.
Mrs. Briggs’ students please report to your last year’s classroom.
Ms. Jawandha’s students please report to your last year’s classroom.
At the end of the day on Tuesday (10:30 AM), your child will have a slip of paper indicating where they will go on Wednesday, September 5th. THIS WILL NOT BE THEIR FINAL PLACEMENT. Students will rotate to and from this class throughout the week. Final class lists will be announced on Friday, or at the latest on Monday September 10th.
Welcome Back Tea and Coffee!
PAC will be serving coffee, tea, water and Timbits in the gym. Come and reconnect with James Kennedy parents while our kids are in our classes. Drop in (8:50) and stay for a few minutes or stay until dismissal time (10:30).
Thank you for your understanding and patience as we work to find suitable placements for all students. We care deeply for your children, and want their learning to be a positive experiences.
